So today was the day that we took both Hector to the vet and Rico back to the vet. Well I guess this needs to be told in two parts because there are two elements to this story.

First putting the two estranged brother's together is slightly disastrous since Rico is insanely jealous of Hector, and if pushed Hector will stick up for himself. Basically Rico acts like the typical older brother that is constantly terrorizing his younger brother, but then add in animal instincts rather than human intellect and you have a somewhat dangerous relationship.

When we take Rico down to his grandparents' for the weekend we always leave out food and kitty litter in the van incase he's hungry and/or he can't hold it until we get home. Well as soon as we put the two in the van together they had a problem and Rico started hissing. If Hector even seemed like he was moving toward food Rico hissed and hit him. We had to keep and eye on them the whole trip down.

Then once we got them into the house and settled with food and water they began to fight. I'm not sure how it started, but all of a sudden I look over and Rico has Hector in (no lie) a headlock. He's got his arm around Hector's neck and his face in Hector's face and he's saying "What are you gonna do now? huh?" We broke that up, but it continued like that until we all went to sleep. Then Rico slept with us on the bed and Hector slept under it. Even now Rico is sitting next to me and I'm not exactly sure where Hector is.
