Rico's daddy and I are currently hooked to ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" but we watched an episode the other day that made my boyfriend say "Baby, that was you." There is an episode in the first season where the character Sarah, the oldest sister played by Rachel Griffiths, is being run into the ground as president of her father's company. She is missing her family, losing touch with her husband, and having trouble really being there for her children. When her sister Kitty, played by Calista Flockhart, babysits Sarah's children one night, she notices that something is wrong with Sarah's oldest daughter. Kitty tells Sarah, but Sarah's reaction is somewhat daunting as she seems mad at Kitty for the information. She tells Kitty that she is able to take care of her children and doesn't need Kitty's help.

Well in some ways, I was Sarah, but instead of having human children I had two cats that were my children. I didn't even notice that they practically hated each other. Rico was puking because he was eating too much, and Hector's model physique was due to his lack of nourishment. I was told by a former roommate that I was neglecting them, and until he said it I didn't really think that I was. but when he said it I tried to make it better, and I continue to get better because I love both my babies so much.
