YOU KNOW YOUR CAT IS FAT WHEN:

1. You are behind him as he is running and you can see his belly sway from
side to side.

2. His bowl still has food in it, and he sits in front of it waiting for
you to "fill-her-up."

3. He gets bored of his toy mouse.

Can you think of anymore "You know your cat is fat when" jokes???

No Rico is not crazy. Rico is just laying there like nothing is wrong. I am going crazy! I miss his daddy so much that Rico is annoyed by all the kisses and hugs that have now been made double for him in daddy's absence.

The first morning daddy was gone Rico did do that weird touching-my-face thing that daddy said he did to him when I wasn't there, but it's totally strange and I don't know what it's all about. Rico just lays there facing me, his face aligned with mine (occasionally meowing of course), and then he doesn't hit my face and he doesn't nudge it, he just puts his paw on my face! I mean what is that about? It's just enough to wake me up...no actually the meowing wakes me up...so it's just enough to bother me to open my eyes and ask him what he wants, but then he says nothing... So I close my eyes and he does it again...just a light placement of his paw on my face like he knows he doesn't want to hurt me or annoy me, he just wants me to pay attention. This morning he didn't do it though so I wonder if he's gotten used to the fact that there is just one of us here or that there's something else that I will never know because, try as I might, I will never speak "cat."

OK so we haven't exactly been abandoned, but its just me and Rico until Monday morning when Daddy gets back. Daddy went to Las Vegas for a bachelor party, and I know I'll be struggling to get through the next few days but I want to see how Rico reacts... so far he doesn't seem to care. Shhh...don't tell daddy. The real test will be in the morning, though. Apparently the other morning, when I had stayed at my parents house for the night, Rico was hitting his daddy in the face and meowing at him as if to say "Wake up! Where's Mommy!? Why aren't you worried that she's not here? 'Cause I am!" I'll see if he smacks me in the face tomorrow wondering where his daddy is...
